INNO TAPE donates to DRK Alfeld

In the last year we made the decision for a new workwear concept. Today the entire production no longer wears the grey uniform, each team has its own colour. What remained was a room full of unused workwear.

Some colleagues could use some of the clothes for manual work at home or gardening, but there was still a lot left over. No wonder - after all, around 70 people were fully equipped with trousers, T-shirts and pullovers at that time. One thing was clear to us from the beginning: throwing them away was not an option. After some research, we finally contacted the "Deutsches Rote Kreuz" in Alfeld and asked if they had any use for them. It didn't take long for the positive and very friendly answer and without further ado all the clothes were collected.

Unfortunately, clothing donations are often tainted with prejudice and many people think that the clothes are only made into rags. Mr. Binnewies (volunteer coordinator of the DRK) explained that the clothes are first sorted. Good conditioned clothes are given to disadvantaged people through the clothing stores. If the clothes cannot be reused, they are sold. The money raised in this way in turn helps to support volunteer projects and finances the work of the DRK. In Alfeld, for example, the money flows into the emergency services run by volunteers, which cost around €80,000 a year.

We are convinced that we have made the right decision with our donation, because the DRK does important work that we can hopefully support well with our donation.

Fabian Binnewies (Volunteer Coordinator DRK Alfeld) and Annkathrin Grube (Head of Marketing INNO TAPE GmbH).
