The development of adhesive parts is not always just about attachments. In this case, the electronics of a vehicle roof antenna should be protected from external influences such as dust, dirt and moisture. The fastening of the roof antenna itself is solved mechanically. It must be ensured that the electronic components on the circuit board inside the antenna are not damaged.

To seal the electronic components of the roof antenna, we first selected a suitable foam that passes the high requirements of automotive industry standards and environmental influences.

To prevent the foam from slipping during installation, we applied a self-adhesive layer.

When the roof antenna is finally installed, the foam is pressed together and thereby compressed. The electronics are optimally protected and the parts are tightly connected to each other.
